Deakin University Experience & Access

The Deakin University project comprised the construction of new external accessibility ramps and associated civil works to improve campus connectivity at both the Waurn Ponds and Burwood Campuses. The works involved extensive in-situ concrete construction, retaining structures and handrail installations along a series of long, sloped pathways.

Delivered within a live university environment, the project required careful staging, temporary access management and coordination of existing services. Architectural detailing, metalwork and landscaping were integrated to achieve a durable, high-quality finish consistent with Deakin’s broader campus design standards.
